This is my final blog post for my psychology class!!! hmmmz. i wonder if i should b glad or sad? Well altogether, i think that it waz a very good experience. i really liked my class, the class waz interesting to say the least, and i got to learn a lot about the human brain and mind. if there waz anything i did not like, i have to say that it waz the occasional Current Events that we were supposed 2 do. what i really loved aboot the class was learning of all the psychological disorders...seems weird huh...and starting this blog. I do think that Mrs. Halfen should, for next year, not make the students have to take quizes on any films watched. What sould be done instead is that the students should take notes while watching the film, and then have to turn those in. Also, as my teacher said, i do think that she should show at least one reality show.
It shames me to say that it seems that now, some hospitals are neglecting mentally ill patients to the point that, within weeks of each other in July 2008, there were two recorded deaths of these patients. The first death to be mentioned in the Mental Health Year in Review: 2008 was a death in King's County Hospital in New York where a mentally ill woman died in the waiting room. The second, which shames me the most, was in Cherry Hospital in Goldsburo, North Carolina when a mentally ill man was left for 22 hours in a chair without being feed or allowed to the restrooms. This shows the ugly side of humanity which always saddens me. I wish that stuff like this was not so seen, but unfortunately, it is.

Part 1:
I believe that it should be quite obvious that drugs and alcohol abuse will cause kids to become "bad" as these scientists said. As a kid uses drugs more and more, he/she will obviously become more dependent on the drug. In his/her need to find and get more drugs, the kid will do whatever is neccisary to get the drugs. I would think that most of the time theses methods of getting drugs are going to get the kid in trouble. If this is the case it is inevitable that the early use of drugs causes "good kids" to become bad. The same goes with use of alcohol. The more one drinks it, the more it is neccisary. Of course if someone starts drinking when they are underaged, then they will have to find illegal ways to get the alcohol and eventually get into some trouble. I do not know how anyone could solve a problem like this, but maybe the fact that these things are illegal makes the prostpect of getting them more appealing to kids, so it could be possible that the drugs and alcohol be made legal(as a trial).
Part 2:
One of the craziest dreams that i have had was when I was little. I remeber that it was when I was living in Venezuela in an apartment complex. It was the middle of the day and i was just outside of the complex in the front of the apartments. My brother was with me at the time but we were together for a short time only because all of the sudden a big Doberman Pinscher appeared some distance away straight in front of us. I could tell the thing was evil because its eyes were glowing red and its face was twisted into a hideous growl. It started to run towards us and i remember that my brother and I started to run away as fast as we could from it until my brother fell down. I remember that he looked really scared then but that is as far as I remember.
Part 3:
YouTube Hypnosis Video. This was a very interesting video that made me, for a very short while actually feel a little colder than usual. It was somewhat relaxing but I was overthinking it. I suggest that you try this hypnosis and tell others how it made you feel.

Rotating Snake is an illusion that makes one think that the picture is slowly moving around like a snake would. It is a very interesting picture and really is amazing how it twists the reality. This illusion works with the movement of one's eyes. the more u move ur eyes, the more the "snakes" move.
In the Optical Illusion website, my favorite illusion would hafta b the "Black Dot" one. it involves u starin at a little black dot in the middle of a gray haze. the longer u stare at the dot, the smaller the haze surrounding the dot bcomes. ur brain tends to focus on things u look at so if u only look at one spot, ur brains reduces the effort to notice other things around. Since the surrounding area of the dot waz gray, when the brain lessens its effort, eventually the edge seems to vanish, shrinking the area.

The results from the Brain Dominance Inventory show that I am predominantly a left-hemisphere visual learner. I am organized, percise and I think logically. I emphasize the functional and pragmatic aspects in life and learning. I see what needs to be done and I do it. I have the ability to "see" where people are going and what they will do. I can also "see" where I am going but I am unable to "tell" myself.
The results that were given to me were in some senses accurate. I do usually know whati need to do and I think I know where others are going, but I usually do not do what I need to do and since I am usually unsure of myself, I cannot say for sure where others might end up, I do not make choices for them. The results given to me would normally be encouraging in school life if they were completely right, but as I have said, I do not usually do what needs doing even though I know what that something is. In general, the results are great for my choice of a career path but again, only if I am able to make most parts of the results true. I know that I must try to make these results 100% correct if I want to do good in my career and future in general.

Obama and His Change
I think that Obama is going to bring aboot change. I do not care what his campaign said, and I especially hate politics, but I think that Obama will deffinately be something new. I do not know that the change will be a good thing, I do not know that it will be bad. What I do know is that change will happen. It will make many furious, and many blissful. There is no question whether or not people have differing opinions of what will happen in the next couple of years. All I know is that Obama is change and I personally like change.
